Rounded Edges

BASIC with rounded edges is covered by a surface paperboard and has rounded edges for jointing and puttying. As such, it can be installed like a gypsum board and its surface treated in any traditional way. Keep in mind that the since the surface is more textured, the result may not be as perfectly smooth as with a gypsum board and requires more work by the painter. Since it is also strong as an OSB board, it can replace two layers at once, saving 90% of CO2 emissions with a lower price tag.

Insulating

Superior thermal and acoustic insulation compared to other construction boards. Sound is absorbed and heat is reflected back into the room.

Flexible

The construction board can be heated and curved for installation on rounded corners, arches, or other non-standard shapes.

Sustainable

85-90% lower CO2e emissions than alternatives. Low VOC, no additives.

Simple

The same tools, fasteners and installation/handling methods are used as for traditional wooden or gypsum boards, requiring no special knowledge or equipment.

Stable

RECOMA construction boards can handle large variations in temperature and humidity while retaining its dimensions, shape and properties.

Strong

The construction board can bear over 65 kilograms per 4,5mm screw at 12mm thickness, making it possible to mount furniture directly without looking for beams or using specialty fasteners.

Circular

Made from 100% recycled material and is 100% recyclable over and over again.

Smooth

Our boards are pressed with a surface paper under high temperatures and pressure, like a gypsum board. The result is a smooth board that can be finished in any way you please.
